My problem was, that i closed the ituneshelper in processes, restart pc if its not there, then plug in you're device, itunes will open close it. Then run Limera1n, follow steps, itunes will open leave it and then you're done.

i've tried now on 2 of my xp desktops, my win 7 64 bit laptop, cant get it to work
i noticed itunes keeps poping up and sayign.. this device needs to be recovered... blah blah while running

Thats part of the process, what happens after that with your ipad?

mm.. well i would do my iphone 4, if i wasnt going to return it tomorrow!
 
finally got it working after a whole day ... my friend eventually did it for me using the beta 3 one and not 4 .
