Line attenuation

Can anyone explain what TCP is, as I have been googling my issue and a few forums suggest a TCP optimizer?

Any suggestions?
 
@Johnatan56 I tried to understand that, but i didnt really...
Could this be affecting my lag, and is it worth downloading a TCP optimizer?
 
Okay so firstly I pinged mtn.co.za

Secondly I pinged the European WoW server, which looked surprisingly decent...

And then lastly i pinged the local CSGO site where i get stupidly high ping, but the ping test says differently...

I opened an account with another ISP, just to test a few things.
And the (play.intoxicated.co.za) website is actually working! There is a widget on the site with 2 different ping results as you can see in the screenie a few posts up. But it goes from 20k - 40k ms on afrihost, and 500-700ms on WA...
 
Run wow, ping test in the background and compare, could be the server running slowly/overloaded. Ping is time it take to get to server, be processed and then come back.

Have you tried a different wow server?
 
I ran a ping test in the backround, results ere identical.

The server can't be having problems because I have friends that play on the same server everyday...

Yes I have tried a different server and it is exactly the same...

Im just curious as to why its only WoW and the intoxicated website...
 
Okay, so now everything is sorted out. I figured out that the problem is on my PC.

What would you guys suggest in order to sort that out?

This is an issue with the server itself. Happens on IS, Cybersmart and Mweb at random times for random durations

But why is it that someone in the same house as me can play perfectly?
I have copied there files over, run my anti virus and done a malware scan...

Could it have anything to do with my registry?
