What a mess! That lot of maintenance guys would have not survived one month in my section! Krone blocks work okay IF the boxes are kept properly sealed and the main cable points are not disturbed after installed, and proper jumpers are put between the main cable blocks and the distribution cable blocks! Where H are the surge arrestor blocks? never installed I suppose.

In Richard's bay of all places, in the high lightning belt.

You guys cannot believe how disgusting this workmanship is to us old timers who used to take pride in our work!.

Haha yeah that guy just whaaaat the hell look at this. He had to use his tool to find the line because it is chaos. I'm surprised Telkom is not here more often because of this mess. Does not look like a lot of people have ADSL installed in this complex....
 
That a mess okay, not surprised though, the guys who fix faults are never interested when you talk to them about the low hanging wires and open boxes, I guess the more faults on the network the better for them.
 
My little beige telkom box looks the same as yours, but I have a spare box which I connected that did not help so it is 100% the line as my line looks similar but before the lightning it was proper copper. Problem is I think the Distribution Box on the Pole also took a hit and I think its all the way back to the exchange. I am waiting patiently for Telkom to come out and have a look at the line, the box, the DB and the exchange. You are lucky they came out so damn fast.
 
Ì passed by some cable people behalf of telkom. That box they were busy was looking worse then this. Telkom tech don't bother about these . They want these kind mess to secure their jobs .
