Line running slow Mweb?

i guess it all started out abt 2 weeks ago where our area had a few power outages, where our internet speed was slower than normal. i thought it would get better after since there werent any power outages anymore, would this be telkoms prob or mwebs prob? plz help

snr is a bit low , could cause problems, , check another adsl account to make sure.

those SNR figures are for the DSL only, irrespective of ISP. never the less Telkom's test account is guest@telkomadsl and password = guest, you will be able to transfer rate(save file) from ftp://ftp-test.telkomadsl.co.za , tx rate is normally assumed to be around 10% of link speed, if 4 meg tx rate will exceed average of 400K. then do same with your ISP set and compare if ISP throttling. If both slow, report fault for line conditions, request techie to line test and ensure no copper conditions or backhaul congestion issues.
Backhaul congestion can be tested for at different times of day/night, sometimes fast, peak periods will slow tx down.
