Line Screwed - Telkom Not Responding

So this is my line stats, and from all the threads on stats here, I gather the below is bad. Line drops intermittently, and when it connects, it is very slow. Mode also changed from ADSL2+ to ADSL_G. I have logged a fault more than two weeks ago, complainted on social media and Hellopeter, I have more than one reference number, but they just do nothing.

When I put the filter on the line, it doesn't even sync at all. It's a 2meg line that always used to work fine, and suddenly in December it just caved in.

I am in Pretoria North, does anyone else know of any other reliable options here? 3g/LTE sucks at my house (have tried this), there is no FTTH, I am not sure what else there is left. :mad:

OP has done that with reference numbers, Telkom are not responding.

No he's "logged a fault" could be via web or sms, call them, hold for hours and log a fault that you know goes on to the system. Then call back every 24hrs on the dot and request an escalation.

It's the only way I've found that works.

Nope it's not, because that doesn't even work. I have the EXACT same issue as OP. I have called them about 20 times over the last month, logging a fault for noisy line, slow ADSL etc. They keep closing the faults without fixing anything. Everyday I'm calling them to report a fault. Fsck them. Fsck Telkom up their stupid asses! The most useless company ever.

Edit: Another fault logged yesterday, by 8:00AM this morning I get an SMS saying fault restored. Will just have to keep reporting faults until someone decides to do something.

I feel exactly the same. But I have to correct you, Telkom is not the most useless company ever... South African companies are the most useless ever.

I am having exactly the same fight with 4, yes 4 other companies at this very moment.

We have no choice or options more than half the time, companies grow to conglomerates because we are forced to make use of them and then you end up with this BS day in day out. They simply can't be bothered with you. I have encountered more than one place where I couldn't even manage to cancel with them - let alone get anything else done.

This country and everything in it is completely f-ed.
