Hi All
I applied for ADSL recently and the lady at the Telkom shop said that my exchange/DSLAM (011 432) only supports up to 512K so I opted for 384K (fast). My questions are:
1) Why is my line syncing at 1024 Kbps when I applied for 384 Kbps? According to Telkom's system (saw it myself in the Telkom shop) my exchange only supports up to 512K?
2) Is it possible to connect at higher speeds? Ideally I want 4096 Kbps. Here are the stats from my modem:
Mode: ADSL_2plus
Traffic Type: ATM
Status: Up
Link Power State: L0
.......................................Downstream / Upstream
Line Coding(Trellis):..........On / On
SNR Margin (0.1 dB):.........254 / 160
Attenuation (0.1 dB):.........235 / 140
Output Power (0.1 dBm):....-85 / 22
Attainable Rate (Kbps):.......17808 / 1036
Rate (Kbps):.......................1024 / 511
Thanks for the help!
