I hope someone can advise me. If a business has 10 computers they want connected to the internet which will be used for browsing mainly, which line speed is advisable? Will 384 kbs be too slow?

Thanks

If they all browse at the same time then it will probably be to slow.

No probably not all at exactly the same time as some might still be busy reading the page while others searches.

I would try 384 for a month or two and wait for feedback and complaints. You can easily upgrade your line speed (Try stay away from contracts). Then just upgrade the speed if needed.

Thanks Shred. I wasn't sure if the line speed could be upgraded easily but if that is the case then I'll go for the 384 first.

If the line supports 4Mbit upgrading the line is done instantly if the line is with telkom. I was on 384k. Called when I hung up the phone the line was already syncing at 4096k speed.

You said: Used for browsing mainly.

Please note that if it is used for anything at all other than browsing, the non-browsing stuff will not work at all.
e.g. Skype.
