I was under the impression that once you had a sync on your line, your adsl connection was just ready to go - I'm getting a sync light on my router but it's unable to make a PPP connection. Is there a chance there's something configured incorrectly on the router? - The log on the router contains errors like 'call failed' and there's no indication that it even tried to authenticate my credentials.
If I'm getting a sync, I presume that means my line is terminating in a DSLAM which means a port has been allocated & my line connected to it. Does anyone know what still needs to be done (ie. by Telkom) before the line will be operational? Technical info would be appreciated!
