Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has tried to use a Linksys WRT54G router to
connect via PPPoE to MyWireless? I'm currently trying to set up PPPoE to
a WRT54G, but am running into problems. PPPoE works perfectly to my WinXP
box -- connects immediately, however, when I try the Linksys it hangs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ciao,
Geoff.

Geoff, I have a Linksys befsr41, only isssues I know about, are first logon with USB connection, which you appear to have done, and set the Linksys to PPPOE with your logon and MTU set to 1460 or so

If we don't take care of the customers, maybe they'll stop bugging us.

Make sure you set the WAN port to be 10Base-T or "Auto" because the modem is 10Mb/s only. It is also half-duplex, but that is normally handled automatically.

Resolution was very simple:
Reboot the router!

(Actually, I had unplugged and switched everything off, in disgust -
my fiancee needed the modem during the day anyhow)
Got home in the evening, plugged in, switched on - it all worked:
Reason: the router must be rebooted for the changed settings to take
effect. I still need to check whether the Satori firmware works
any better.

Working like a charm now. It seems that the Mywireless service is
still dropping occasionally, but the Linksys router is shielding
me from that.
