Linux Desktop Screenshot Thread

Looks just like Unity! :)
I suppose the quick launch bar on the right (which only comes on screen when you call it up) cause look similar to unity, but yeah, they handle stuff differently. Like switching between windows is pretty different.

I honestly don't see the point.

Fair enough, I'm very new to all linux and didn't really like the look of Ubuntu 13.04 (unity), tried that on a VM and it looks pretty horrible. I just feel iOS is very polished. I'm usually a windows user but getting pretty bored with Windows 8.

I've seen a lot of people trying to copy the look but the look does not make it behave like OS X hence me not seeing the point. You're not alone on Unity, I can't stand it but there are many other options like Gnome 3, XFCE, KDE, Cinnamon, Mate, LXDE, e17 etc etc etc. Find out which ones suite your usage style and then theme it for the look you like, it's only a look after all. You are spoilt for choice. My personal favourites are XFCE & Openbox. I'm currently only running openbox on both my machines but it's definitely not for everybody.
