I downloaded Ubuntu 7.10 , Redhet , Xubuntu and edUbuntu. All of them are exelent but I can not run my games on them. My friend told me that you can only run Linux games on them.IS THAT TRUE? I did some research and Quake Wars would run on Linux.I dont know if you guys saw the dektop multiplier that you can download for Linux that turns your pc into 10 PC's!
Try this link www.sharewareconnection.com/desktop-multiplier.htm.
Linux is gr8 but if the gaming sucks then I'll stay with Windows.

Its not really a gaming platform, you can only run games through Wine as Beanie suggested.
There are some games that are made for linux and often the dedicated servers are run on linux, but as a whole, you wont be able to install your windows based games on it.
If you want linux for everything else then it beats windows on all accounts.

Linux beats windows hands down.

If you really MUST have games too, dual boot for games.

As I always say, "you will not run a server on a XBOX, so why should you consider doing real work on Windows?"
Or, in other words, Windows is for games, Linux is for work.
