nicojvr said:Thanx Tazz,
but i still can't find out what to replace the /dev/noz0 [wvdial.conf/hsdpa] with as this Novatel card attaches as a usb device under /dev/bus/usb/006/006 and when i use that i get : innapropriate ioctl for this device..
Does it attach as ttyS? even thoug it's a usb device ? will modprobe create something that i can put into the HSDPA section of wvdial.conf?
Thanks alot for your help Obe-Wan
nicojvr said:i get it modprobe creates the tty/USB device ?
i'm a java programmer, think i should code an installer for these cards?

zoot said:Could someone enlighten me as to which of the HSDPA cards are better? I will be using it under Linux. Currently I use an Option Quad Lite (was told that it was one of the better cards for reception quality) and cannot afford to spend excessive time wrestling with a new card in order to get it working.
# Option HSDPA Card
# Novatel HSDPA Card
Which one and why?![]()
Thanks!
