It's a bit of a cop out. It's actually just a rubber prosthetic with a USB key embedded in it. The rubber comes off, it's not actually attached to the finger.
You could quite easily make one yourself, but your story probably wouldn't end up on the BBC.
That was a cool idea at the time maybe, but it actually looks weird... I have a flash drive (WIA competition FTW ) where I can run a mobile Linux off of.
funny, we humans want 16GB memory in our skin, when we have an unlimited storage upstairs. although i do see the problem - cant get a few ISOs into your head very well.
