Besides that three other useful ones to have around would be SystemRescueCD, KNoppix & Ultimate Boot CD for Windows

If you're looking for a stock Linux distro thats straight-forward and useable "out-the-box", go for a desktop Ubuntu image available....everywhere.

What you can also do is do a Google search for a program called SARDU. This is by far the most useful piece of software I have found to date. I have a bunch of Linux live images, Windows installation images, recovery images, etc (including Hirens) on ONE flash drive, that never leaves my side.

With SARDU you're able to download the latest images of programs by ticking boxes, inserting a flash drive and the app does the rest.

Thanks I will give it a try.

I want to try and make use of the following bootable programs on a bootable USB flash drive:

Hirens BootCD
Trinity Rescue Kit
Bitdefender Rescue Disk
Kaspersky Rescue Disk
Ultimate Boot CD

Would SARDU be able to combine them into one bootable flash drive?

I've actually already ordered myself 3 x 8GB flash drives for the job, but if I only need one that would be fantastic.

It's best to download SARDU and see the wide range of available options. The program itself is very small to downoad.

I do believe you can do most, if not all of those options on a single bootable flash drive.
