Has any one got a Linux Mandriva 2006 installation guide / tables ?

Looking to install and experiment but have no installation guide, step-by-step.

Hope that helps. It is pretty straight forward just protect yr windoze partition and you should be fine.

pretty much the same . been using mandrake since 8.something and all pretty much the same just gets easier with each new release .

I installed Mandriva 2006 a few days ago (which I am rather impressed with) but I am unable to do any updating, installing Flashplayer in Mozilla, etc, etc.

Is this normal for the Mandriva distro? Is a payment required (registration) before any updates can be done from the official website or can updates be done by d/l an RPM, etc and will the distro allow this form of updating? (haven't tried yet)

if my memory serves me correctly ( which it usually doesnt ) to use their updates you need to join the club. You can do other updates your self though more difficult but thats the fun.
