I have to confess, I installed Linux Mint 13 on my desktop PC the week-end to "quickly" do some work after my Arch install tanked. It lasted two hours on my PC before I reinstalled Arch...
What really got me down was that everyhting is so old, old software, Gimp 2,6, Firefox 14, old game releases, Playonlinux 10 releases outdated, and to name only a few. It just did not sit well with me.
Don't get me wrong, I think it is great for an everyday office PC and my wife and daughters love it.
What I love of the Mint defs is that they LISTERN to their users. When they swithced to Gnome 3 and we raised a stink about it, they did something about it. Canonical got too prideful, bloated heads and the community is never a good mix.
WIll download the RC when I have a chance to see what they have accomplished.
