if there is information you want to share between Windows and Linux, unfortunately the best route is to create a NTFS partition to share between the OSes.


What I even do is to have my FF, Thunderbird and OpenOffice profiles on that partition. I also have My Documents on that partition. It means that should I be in Windows and need to access something than it is available with the programs I use.

I've been writing to one ntfs partition since NTFS-3G was still experimental and it is still working today.
