Linux Server Slow

Hi Guys

A 10Gig file is taking 100mins to move from my normal (windows) pc to my Linux server i don't know that it takes soo long anyone got an idea as to how i can make it faster?

Running a Server:
1.7Ghz
1GB Ram
And 3 HDD's

Is the windows pc running vista?

Maybe try a client to copy it across that doesn't use the built in copying. FTP or something like http://www.codesector.com/teracopy.php might help see where the problem is

i got it right found out it was the windows pc, not the Linux server...

Forgot to repost and say i got it right.
