Aah yes, plugins. None of the ones I use are 32bit, thankfully.

Speaking of RAM, are you still using the old 17" MBP? What model is it? Mine is the MacBook Pro 4,1 (late 2007 or early 2008, I don't remember which). It can officially only take 4GB, but 6GB works just fine (8GB apparently not).
Upgraded a while back to the 13-inch, Mid 2009, MBP.
 
When you activate app exposé, (by default now ctrl + down arrow), you get shown your most recent documents in that app as a row of icons at the bottom. Kind of useful.
 
Holding down a letter on the keyboard no longer makes a noise or creates a line of letters (no more aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa for instance). It now brings up a special character popup which is quite useful.

Holding down A brings up à á â ä æ ã å ā.

Its quite a nice touch.
 
Holding shift while resizing a window increases the width and height by the same amount. Holding option causes it to scale from the center of the window instead of the opposite corner or side.
