Likewise topic.

Antec 920 OR Thermaltake Water 2.0 pro

Was looking at H100i and Water 2.0 Extreme...but as ive read reviews...u dont get that big diff in temp between 120mm and 240mm radiators.

Is their people with AMD cpu's with liqued coolers who can tell me what their temps is, since most reviews is only using i7's.

I have Phenom II x4 965BE @3.8 atm, looking into buying FX-8320 4.0 later.

Thx

Is the money you spend really worth the extra few degrees. Just get something like a CM Hyper 212 Evo for example if it fits your configuration.

i do have the hyper evo 212 atm...was wondering same thing

Got an H80 (not the newer H80i) with 140mm radiator fans on my Phenom 1100T X6 rig at standard clock speed - idle temp is 30 and it rarely goes above 36 under full load - the fan/pump speed is the lowest so the sound is almost silent. When cranked up to speed setting 3, the idle temps come down to about 26 and full load goes to 33... ambient temp in the room is approx. 27 degrees

So it... Runs cooler than the air around it?

How does the sound compare to stock cooler on full load? I'm thinking of buying a new cooler because my PC sounds like a Boeing on takeoff a lot of the time...

Also wondering about that, does not make sense.
Possibly in an A/C'd room. Or a walk in fridge :D

Really can't explain it at all - that's just how it is with my setup and location; currently using Core Temp tray icon, so it may not be too accurate. The "approx. 27" degree ambient temp varies during the day; mornings and evenings are around 22 ambient and idle is approx. 25 degrees; when I posted this morning the ambient was 26 degrees and idle was 31 degrees.
I have the PSU exhaust ducted away from the bottom rear of the PC case, and fresh cool air is brought in by the H80 from the top rear case panel... no AC or fridge ;)

The stock cooler was fine when new, but made more noise than the H80 under load after a few month of 24/7 usage. Even during really hot summer days it rarely goes above 31 on idle and 33 under load, so I keep the pump speed on minimum.

One of the measurements is wrong.

Its just not possible. Not with air. Well maybe without a maxwell's demon...but something tells me you don't have one of those. ;)

wonder if it will work, if i get liquid also (maby kuhler 620?), but mount my fan at bottom to pull in cold also? ( have 120mm fan next to PSU at buttom, Thermaltake versa II case) how long is the pipes?

will i get better temps with 620, than the 412 slim i was looking at? as i said i have 212 EVO atm..but will 412 give better temps on overclocking?
