Funny, 73 and 79 on the list is the same person.

It seems that criminality is a requirement to serve in the ANC though.

I'm basically trying to assume who will overtly cover JZ and things like the nuclear deal or other overnight cabinet changes and who wouldn't.

Basically, who will make JZ's life difficult until 2019 or not and it doesn't seem too bad in theory.

Obviously, a lot change will change as the wind changes.

He can't serve because of his conviction whatever you may believe. That's partly why Zuma fights tooth and nail and is destroying SARS as the other disqualification is sequestration.

Sylvia Lucas is definately in Zuma faction - she was defeated in Northern Cape leadership contest by Saul the CR supporting candidate.

He can still serve in the NEC and the top six. I'm sure he can serve in a lot of other places too.

Aren't there some cabinet ministers with criminal convictions?

Heck JZ should get his 783 convictions so he can join the club. Wouldn't want him to feel left out.

The point is, the ANC welcomes criminals. It is just that not all of them have convictions, and a lot of those that don't, only lack convictions because of the influence of Numba One.

You can't hold public office if you have ever been sentenced to more than a year in prison or sequestered. Of course some president could expunge his record.

According to the above analysis 40 from CR list were elected and 47 from NDZ list. 7 were on both lists explaining how you get to the eventual 80 names. T Mboweni was on the NDZ list - so I don't think it is clear cut. These lists were probably used as propaganda. I have not seen the NDZ list - can someone link to it.

Although Mboweni has been quite vocal against state capture.

I'd definitely see him endorsing CR way more than NDZ, he is a decent guy.

I don't find the list either.

I’ll wait for the outcomes once they start voting.
First item on the agenda will be the removel of Numba One.
Oh, and bolt all chairs to the floor...
