So bottom line is even after being careful I get 100kWh / day.
I'll go buy some energy meters and see how it goes.
I can see this happening quite easily. My house is less than half the size of your's. I've got LED's all over. Gas hob. - Still use a normal oven though and only 1 of my geysers is solar and I pull 40kWh to 50kWh in winter per day. Maybe 30-ish over non winter months.
I plan to change the domestic's stove to gas and and install 3x20l gas geysers instead of my 2x200l geysers (1 solar). So I'm hoping with this that I drop my usage down to 35kWh in winter and 20 max in summer.
I think after some roof insulation I'll drop the winter usage even further. I bought one of those effergy meters 3 years or so ago but have not plugged it in over a prolonged period. I think I'll do so next week see exactly what my usage is. But being on prepaid I can easily calculate a rough average. (or I can just take note of the amount on the prepaid meter this week and then again next week. - lol)
Good luck to you , cos I surely am out of ideas.
What exactly happened here, is this still in the pipeline or did the idea flop?
