LiveProfile - BBM for BB, iPhone and Android

Its better than WhatsApp? Thats a bit of a stretch.
And almost no one uses it, so it doesn't have much use

Been reading the reviews. Basically all of them call it the latest "me too" app

How in any way is it better than wahtsapp, has no nokia or BB support, the site says BB coming soon. WA is preparing its release for winmob7 so as far as support goes this is simply a kik wannabe.
As for price, WA is R14 per year, if you cant afford that then who did you steal your phone from?

How is excluding a platform from a messenger service a good thing?!

Do you pick your friends according to what handset they use?

I have it on my BB. Its been available since yesterday, I think the website isn't updated but it on appworld.

Whatsapp is cool but not the best messenger app out there, I've been using it for a year and its never been my main messenger app.
R14 a year where did you get that figure from?
Don't worry about my phones I used more high end phones than you will ever use ;)

But anyway... Try it out, don't kill the messenger, excuse the pun lol!

When it comes to prossplatform it is still the best, liveprofile is pretty, nothing more.
WA just makes life more convenient but adding your contacts to your list directly from you phone no extra profile crap and invites, it just works and even though everyone i know has the sense to avoid nokia its still a major platform so y would i choose an application that excludes it. Y should i have to pay cuz sum1 is an idiot?

This is just another wannab app like kick and pingchat, WA still has the largest user base simply because of nokia and the pending winmob7, they are the only company working on a supported version, not that i know anyone stupid enough to go anywhere near MS shyte, but again y should we have to pay for other peoples stupidity and for what logical reason should we all migrate our friends from somthing that works just cause something else is pretty.

If they have the good sense to open up for those other ****ty platforms then there would be some logic in going for the pretty if it actually does function, but until then y fix something thats not broken?

As for the R14 a year, its the reason WA can support so many devices, they dont make it free or flood it with advertising, for the 1st year its free, there after its $1.99 and everyone i know is more than happy to pay that small fee for something that works as they know it ensures the longevity of the company and it allows them to actually pay developers so that they can have the largest support scope.

WA will always win when it comes to simplicity and support, does not hurt that it actually works as promised too, that small fee also allows them to ensure constant uptime, unlike pingchat and kik who have gone down for hours and even days at a time, not that kick really means much since they breached the TnC of RIMs push service.

I'm having trouble downloading the app. It gives me this error: "You must go to http://www.liveprofile.com/get from your BlackBerry browser to download."

I've tried downloading it through Opera Mini and the BB browser and it still gives me the same error. I'm using a 8520. Any solutions?

So hang on, youre basing your (negative) judgement of WhatsApp on the type of people that use it? Namely Nokia owners? Kinda juvenile don't you think?
A cellphone is a communication tool, not a life choice. I am going to use the tool that functions the best and allowes me to communicate with the least ammount of restrictions.

So you are blaming the application for your inability to keep track of your phone book. The favourites list is compiled out of contacts on your phone that are registered with whatsapp not other that have your number. Its your own problem for saving every possible number you ever get your hands on, not whatsapp's for doing what it was designed to do.

Dont blame the software for the end users inabilities, if you dont want 300 favourites stop saving random peoples phone number.
