LM Radio on DSTV

Yes I have one in my storage room(DSD990), is it possible to connect it to a HD PVR setup?

Looks like 6 outputs? No 5 not in use?

What are you using five outputs for? The HDPVR only needs four.

You can connect your DSD990 to one of the spare outputs, the only problem you might have is that LM is on high band and DStv on low. Try it and see what happens.

Maybe the 1 output is for extraview to the decoder in the other room?
Thanks I will try that

Ok yes, didn't know you had extraview. So ja just hook that 990 up to the empty port.

I've tried everything, on the DSD990 and the Extraview decoder without any success , I see the Public bouquet after the scan but not the View Africa Channels. I've tried "fooling" the decoder by changing the frequency , and using the Astra2 satellite.
Anyone able to get LM Radio on DSTV box?
Thanks anyway

How the hell did you do that?
So it is possible, I will try again tonight, do you have any tips for me?
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately you are not going to get the channel with a multiswitch.

Ku band is divided into upper and lower band. Sentech and DStv operate in the lower band. View Africa operate in the upper band.
A multiswitch will rely on one of the decoder inputs to tell it whether it should be on upper or lower.

To test, if you take out one of the two cables from your LNBs and plug it into your 990. You will probably find it works.
Only solution is to put a quad LNB on. Have two cables running to the multiswitch for DStv, and a third directly to the 990 decoder.

I emailed LM Radio feedback to ask for more help regarding setting up the decoder.Chris Turner phoned me and said the PVR don't work but all other decoders should work.I have a D720 decoder and tried to set up but no luck.He said I am welcome to phone him for more assistance if required.Very helpful crowd it seems.I have his cell no if anyone requires assistance.:)
