My BF is in Bromhof, so its the same there. He didn't have power on Tuesday night. :(

Total fail on the forum name there by the reporter though.

Also, that article says 35MW for JHB. Surely that can't be right. If SA on the whole is 40GW, and a metro only a few MW....then something is very wrong...either in those numbers or those Alu smelters are chowing the vast majority of our juice.
 
Power has been off for about a hour in Cyrildene. Two nights ago Observatory was out as I drove through it.

I'm not surprised,especially if you look at the amount of electric heaters that were leaving Game Eastgate today.
 
Had two power cuts last night, one at 4:30 exactly, and back on 5:30, then 10:30 exactly, back on 5 mins later.

Coincedence?
 
So...once again the wonderfull Cyrildene, suburb of Ekoekaf@kenleni is without power since 8:30 this morning! Actually...not sure if we fall under Ekoekaf@kenleni but at his stage I could not give a flying fck!

Had a power outage on Thursday night that lasted for about 4 hours. Come back from work yesterday on the N3 and low and behold! The highway lights are all a f@kken BLAZE! Not even me and my flaming personality could outshine those freaking bulbs china!

Today at 8:30....AGAIN the power is switched off. Decide to go visit a friend....N3 lights all ablase STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I come home now at 15:30.....STILL now power and STILL the N3 lights are shining brighter than Charlize's performance in "Monster" that earned her that well deserved Oscar! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so fcking sick and tired of hearing how we must switch our geysers off, dont use heater....and god forbid you should even try to use your oven cause it puts too much strain on the grid....but the fcking Guavamind and its fcking cronies thinks its great fun to see how cool the highway lights look switched on while the sun is shining brightly!

FCK YOU GOVERMENT............AND FCK EVERYONE THAT VOTED FOR YOUR SORRY FCKING @SSES!

The good news is that there was a fire at the Kempton sub station and we wont have power till Tuesday.

I feel you man. It kinda p!ss3S me off as well when I drive on the highway or just in the streets and see streelights burning during the day but I'm forced to eat by candle light cause some @ssh0l3 decided to leave the switch on when he went on leave.

What's worse, is our cleaning lady at the office mentioned that they never have load shedding in Alexandra, and our housekeeper also confirmed they never have load shedding in Hammanskraal. How does that work? Why do the "rich" people, who actually pay for electricity get load shedded, but the "poor" who don't pay for it (aka steal it) don't?
