Load shedding is back - 2 Nov 2014

Looks like it. Have a skwiz at the Google Maps image, https://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-27.100718,29.771796&spn=0.004303,0.005322&t=h&z=18. Looks like the central silo under the conveyer splitter collapsed. The vertical on the left of the image looks like one of the two supports for the conveyer just before the central silo. Seems like the other one is missing.

Given the statement yesterday, either something structural cracked yesterday and then collapsed overnight, or Eskom is trying to put as much spin on the incident as it does to the generators.

Hectic. Our power has come back on. Was off for two hours or so. Not according to the schedule though.

According to the loadshedding site, they are on stage 2 loadshedding, and according to the City of Cape Town, even in stage 2 there will still be no loadshedding on a Sunday,

Yet our power was off from 10 AM?

(Our area is supposed to go off on stage 3 loadshedding round about this time)

Apparently Cape Town snuck in to stage 3 today.

The city schedule (updated September) is up. I wouldn't rely on the Eskom site.

Cape Town: These areas are currently experiencing load shedding: Triangle, Parow South, Belhar, Sacks Circle, Sarepta, Bellville CBD.

We are on Stage 3.

Consider yourselves lucky that you can actually find a schedule. This is my problem at the moment.

EDIT: Only thing I can find is this, and its just as unhelpful
