Local cap

Another noob question: Where can I find a local server to download alt.bin

Its already been posted on this thread but go to http://www.locallist.co.za they are trying to get links to all local sites.

go to the link on post 8. That site hosts a lot of games. If you go to the forum on that site it will tell you how to play on local, the best game on local I've found is cod 4.

search is your best friend. its posted just search news servers. there's a full guide. very useful. my 384 line has never been given a rest. my pc never shuts down, news servers are the best, so jump on the band wagon.1. download grabit (or alternative) 2. install, set server to news.saix.net, leave user name/password blank 3. go to edit, preference set only two connections 4. reg on nzbsa.co.za(now open for reg) 5. download whatever 6. extract with winrar 7. double click on extracted item and wait PS try weekdays between 6pm and 6am and all weekend

download grabit (google search), install and when installation is done it will ask to enter news server. just enter news.saix.net.---close the application and go to nzbsa.co.za and register (hurry while registration is open).--- browse the content and download a small item (just for testing) and extract it with winrar. ---now open grabit again and in the bottom right corner you will see thread 1, 2, 3, 4 etc etc. only leave thread1 and 2 ticked and UNCHECK ALL the others.--- now go to file, open and select the unrared file you downloaded earlier from nzbsa and it should download all and auto extract for you. first try all these and if there is still problems let me know. enjoy:)

I did all the steps (but I'm using alt.bin), it says I'm connected but when I try to download it says article not fount 403, does that mean its not on the server anymore or is there to much traffic for me to download.

it could be just too old, saix has a retention of 200 days, so if the .nzb is older than that you're out of luck. if not, retry every half hour or so, if still failing after the fouth attempt you can be sure... might be less effort looking for an other .nzb than trying to "regroup" it, which i dont quite understand -but it sounds cool:)

sorry I forgot to look at the date I thought that after the retension date expired they removed it from the list. I found something newer and started downloading. Thanks for the help.:)
