Local firm challenges Google

A local company that has already instigated a dispute with Google has now won support to develop a technology that mimics one of Google’s most successful innovations.

Google earns about 98% of all pay-per-click search advertising revenue in SA, and Entelligence hopes to win some of its market share through Ad Dynamo.

Surely not 98% of the Google pay-per-click accross the globe?

Yet another non constructive article...

Words like Telkom, Yellow Pages and anything associated with its Telkom monopoly deserve nothing but to be crushed.

Don't really understand what the dispute is about.. but if they don't want to use Google they don't have to ... Advertise trough some other search engine..

whatever..

i never click on any ads in google anyway, they are very irritating sometimes.

Entelligence can't be THAT intelligent... can they? They do realize that the success of googles adwords is directly related to the sheer volume of adsense websites out there. The reason why people run adsense is because there's advertisers and users out there willing to click. It's like a "you help me I help you" type situation

Even IF they actually get Ad Dynamo up and running, they're going to have a helluva time trying to convince website owners to show their ads rather than Google. Especially convincing advertisers to advertise through them instead of Google. No advertisers means no one would be willing to adopt the pay per click system on their lil old blog. No one that wants to implement this means no advertiser would take them seriously...

Google. She is big.

I will seriously be in awe of the CEO of this company if he can pull this off and convince peo... oh wait... most advertisers are dumbasses... they'll probably make a few bucks.
