Inaccurate. Unbungling implies they are fixing / have fixed it. LLB (Local Loop Bungling) would be better.

That is what I meant: ICASA has thoroughly bungled LLU, the status can only change to unbungled, otherwise the status remains bungled.

I wonder how many more years this is going to carry on. :wtf:
LLU = local loop unbundling = copper .
WTF is so hard about giving access to the copper.....hmmm the connecting to the copper is the problem not the actual copper.
So at the end of the day the conundrum is how to connect to the copper.
The ISPs dont want LLU because then they going to have to pay Telkom or put in the infrastructure to get to the copper.
I would like to see what ICASA comes up with .
And if ICASA do come up with some thing Telkom will just take them to court if they dont like it.
So at the end of the day say good bye to LLU

Not at all, I'm a pessimist and the laws of this universe appear to dictate that ICASA is lazy, incompetent and generally corrupted by ministerial interference.

There probably have to be competent ICASAs in other universes.

LLS? The last letter really should be a U otherwise no one will know what LLS refers to, you could make it Local Loop Ufans but that would be equally confusing.

Public Hearings about LLU are imminent
being held next week - got the "draft schedule" yesterday.

Unfortunately I am not so sure that these hearings are going to be very public - not much in the way of notice to the media and I haven't got an answer on live streaming yet.
