Hey, I want to know something about local only ADSL.

From what i understand the purpose of it is to allow us to take advantage of local torrents and be able to D/L what we want...right? But is it really as good as it sounds cause it sounds to me like the guys running the local torrents have strict policies and cut you off if you dont U/L enough.

Also will i need another PC and router and account to be able to get full advantage of all this stuff.

If there is a site for local only FAQ's it will be appreciated!!

cheers

Those strict policies is for the download/upload Ratio.

Many ppl only leech and don't give back.

Search for something called Routesentry which will allow you to use it on one PC and router, you will need another account obviously. Take a look at openweb.co.za for that. The local torrent sites shouldn't cut you off as long as you don't leech!

Well, you need to keep a ratio otherwise no one will upload anything...what would the point then be? You don't need to keep a perfect 1:1 ratio, but if no one seeded files then no one would be able to download.

You can use a 30gig local only account and push it way past the 30gig cap mark :p thanks to IS's soft capping! That way you can download more and upload more and still pay for only the 30gig :D

I would recommend Openweb :D
