torrents:
seeding means keeping ur internet connection live so other people can download what u have... so you are the server (or part there of). u can't just download then upload and off u go. u must be online as long as possible so others can download/leech off u

ur ratio is calculated on how much u downloaded over what u let others download off ur machine by being online a LOT.

Anyway, you should, to abide by the rules, upload to a 1:1 ratio, meaning, you upload as much as you download in the end.

For an example, if you want something that is 350mb, you'll download 350mb and will need to upload 350mb in turn.

So in theory, your upload would be the total you decide to download.

no... what would happen is that you would grab about five gigs the first 48 hours... then seed them the next 48 hours. Then you would be done for the month. 10 gigs all used up. By the time the next month rolls around you would have been kicked from the system for non-activity.

If you space them out... one a week... that might work. but who wants to go through the hassle for so little content?
 
i think how ever long you are online for if you downloading , ur uploading should be on, if nobody up loads anything from my pc then tough luck. but if they do then its ok

hence the 24 hours rule. If nobody downloads anything in the 24 hours then you are OK. Its a good system. Some downloads have taken me much longer than 24 hours.

BUT... if that is your attitude..."how much can I get away with?" then you are clearly not somebody we want. We are looking for people who say "but I want to stay connected and share with others!"

My ratio is Uploaded: 192.03 GB and Downloaded: 43.90 GB. ;)
 
no man thats not what i mean......i'm not a spitefull dude if i was to just get this certain things i want i can be happy. as long as its a reasonable amount then i would'nt worry. i got a few bucks to spend

i'm a cool oke, really,, and if i could only just tell everyone what all i wanted. i really dont need everything or even want it,, just that if i do then i can. but for now there is only one thing i want,, i dont care about anything else, i got everything else i need anyway.
