Local website not working on Local

Maybe it's not hosted locally, I could be wrong. I just visited it without issue.

Flagfox says it is hosted in South Africa, so it should work on local. Opens fine for me with International WebAfrica bandwidth.

Have a look at:
http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=http://www.ps3za.co.za/forum/index.php

There are elements loaded from international servers:
pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js

The ping to openx.take2.co.za is also much slower than to take2.co.za, which means openx.take2.co.za is also probably hosted overseas.

openx.take2.co.za is one of two things: Either it's a sub-domain hosted on take2.co.za's server, or it's hosted on a different server with an auto redirect.

Queried whois.afrinic.net with "196.220.52.36"...

Is there an Atlanta in SA?

Just wanted to say that. FlagFox is a pretty cool app. I suggest people get it will tell you when its hosted in ZA. I have found lots of international sites using akamai servers that makes them mostly local.

Something very strange is the ping times to the ip exceeds 400ms which would suggest that its international right? But it also seems local. Hmm.

It's international, the ps3za server is hosted in the US, local hosting deemed too expensive for them.
Take2 is a sponsor so that will explain the redirect

WebAfrica is known to assign, what would seem to be, local IP blocks to international servers. So, to confirm what Solidus has stated above, the website is hosted internationally.

If you're using Flagfox you may need to download the latest update as its IP database may be out of date.

PS3ZA IS hosted overseas! I never new why I could not get to it when Iwas capped till I found that out!

Just because it is a .co.za does NOT mean it is LOCAL hosted!

You also need to do a traceroute to see whether it is hosted in SA or not. Atlanta is in fact in the US.

I could never reach them when I am capped. Try 12:01 am tommorow (reset router) and it should work again.
