Logik 42" FHD Plasma

Has anyone bought/tried/tested/reviewed the Logik 42" FHD plasma from game?, its only R5000. i am very tempted in buying it, but nowhere can i find any type of review for it.

if there is anyone out there who has any experience with these plasma's, please reply

my problem with this is its resolution only goes to 1024×768, and from what i have heard this is not true "HD Ready", it has to be 1366×768 to be really considered HD Ready, and the Logik is 1920×1080, how bad can it really be if all these cheap "no name" brands uses LG or samsung panels?

1024x768 is an HD Ready resolution, regardless of what some people on this forum says ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdtv#High-definition_display_resolutions

On 42" that is perfectly fine. The better image processing from the Samsung is going to make a much much bigger difference than the HD Ready vs FullHD part.

It's a HD Ready wide screen TV, guaranteed. How could this be, you may ask? Rectangular pixels maintain 16:9 aspect.

Seriously. Go and test out each set with 1080p rips.

Yes, but the Logik is not exactly high-end.

Seriously, the Samsung is a better TV than the Logik, go view them, don't make your decision based on the little numbers on the side of the box.

Yes it is. More importantly though, is that it is 720p.

i did go in to the store, the problem is they show all of them on 1 crappy sabc channel, it looked so bad even the LCD's looked good

i will take your advice, allot of people is very impressed with the samsung, so i guess everyone cant be wrong

Samsung panels but not the processing engine. People often think that cos they are using the big brand panels, that they are the same sets. They are not.

So i got the samsung PS42C430, so far I'm impressed....Just curious, the guy at catsdigital told me it has a 3 year warranty, but on the box it says 1 year warranty?

To my knowledge I think that would be through Cats, where they would pay for repairs/swap out. Samsung offers 1 year warranties on their plasma TVs.

Mine came with one year guarantee but I took out an extended guarantee... another two years and payed in the R550.
