I'm seriously considering buying one of these. They look awesome and the reviews online seem to all be in favour of them. What I would like to know is if any of you guys own one or have tried them and impressions?

I am a big logitech fan, but I dunno hey, I think these are ugly and overpriced. I am looking at getting the Rockat Kove's. They seem much better value for money.

I actually take back what I said about the G35's, maybe they are worth the extra $$$, I am reading up on them and the Koves and I might just be in favor of the Logitechs. They a bit weird looking but probably pretty dam awesome.

Hmmm, you not making my decision any easier. THe big advantage to me is the USB of the G35. But the audio jacks of the Kave also make me think the sound would be better. So who knows. Another question tho, if using the USB, does it make a big diff as to the sound card you use?

Don't worry dude I am also in two minds :D I am also trying to decide which to get.

Read up here on the Rockat Kaves, some guys there have them and there are few things mentioned a few times that make me swing towards the G35, namely the Vibration, the blue mic light is irritating, and one guy had to send his back.

Well i bought a pair of cyber snipa 5.1 channel headset and personally i prefer the usb audio over a sound card. Less of a mission and they sound flippin insane.

If those rockat kaves do not have usb then the choice is easy if you ask me.

Those comments are good and well, but i would like to hear from someone who has tested both units. That would help.

Just be warned:
USB sound takes CPU/Memory resource from your system.

If you have a dedicated soundcard like Xonar/X-fi (not onboard), rather go for a set like ROCCAT.

Also found that (sadly) the X-Fi and decent set of normal headsets, do a good job.

Whats the deal with the USB? I read that the G35's don't use your sound card, they have built in 7.1 surround sound or something. Seen as though I have a stock on board sound card I guess this would make the G35's a good choice.

Ok as I just said, so it would be better to get the G35's if you have a onboard card?
