Well, after a weeks playing with them, these are simply brilliant. The sound clarity is phenomenal. The mic works like a charm. They are incredibly comfortable, even after a few hours. I really think it was money well spent. One thing thats slightly annoying, is the macro buttons on the left cup is that they are just too sensitive to the touch. Sometimes you graze them and they activate whatever it is they are assigned to and thats not always cool when in-game. If you have a grand lying around and u need some new earcans, these are worth it. The mic has a little red LED to show when its muted, which is handy. You can set this to stay on or off or as the default LED on when muted. The mic arm is quite flexible and can be bent to be closer or further from your mouth. It also folds back nicely into the headset when not in use and automatically then mutes itself when in this position.
The cord is nice and long and you shouldn't have any hassles with an average desk setup. The volume control is also set on the left cup, which is quite nice as you then don't need to look for it on the cord each time. The surround sound button is also quite nice and is simply pushed up or down to activate dolby sound.
As I mentioned, the only negative to me, really is the sensitivity of the macro buttons. There are three of them and can be assigned to various tasks, such as bass up/down, treble up/down, launching media players etc. But the irritation is that if you in game and you wanna adjust volume for instance and you touch a button by accident, it often then launches winamp or whatever, which as any gamer can tell you is not good. Other than that I have no complaints.
Overall this is really a nice headset with damn brilliant sound and extremely comfortable and worth the money.
