Looking for a replacement for my MX518 which seems to be giving up the ghost. Like the size and feel of the MX518, and the G500 looks fairly similar in that regard. Any opinions from those who've used the G500?

Great mouse, really, you can't go wrong with that baby :) . Great ergonomic design, features, build quality. You could also consider the CoolerMaster Storm Sentinel as well. Those would probably be my personal 2 favourites.

Thanks for the reply. As coincidence would have it, I was using a CM Storm Sentinel on one pc but driver issues kept causing the pc to reboot. Which is why I switched back to the older MX518 which doesn't have the driver issues (though the mouse itself is dying) on that pc.
The Sentinel is a great mouse though, I am still using that on a different pc and it's a-okay on that one.

Cool. Would've looked at ordering the G500 through you, but I see you don't ship to Post Offices. :(

Off topic - May I ask why that is an issue for you? I decided to stop shipping to post offices too, since it is easier and more reliable just to use a courier....

There's usually nobody at my house during the day, and I'm in and out of the office (security/reception will not sign for it) so it's tough at times to make sure that the courier and I are in the same place, at the same time for me to accept delivery. I get a lot of stuff from Take2 who ship via Speed Services and the PO. Which is great for me as I can go to collect on the way home, or if I'm in the area, whenever it's convenient for me. Ordering from a place close to me (eg. Zaps) is fine too, as in that case I'll simply go and collect the order myself.
Sometimes I've had bigger orders that I couldn't collect and which could only be couriered, I've then had it delivered to family where I know someone is always at home. The problem there being they stay a fair distance away, and I'd have to wait a week or so to get my stuff.

I would assume that, in some cases, it's more convenient to have it sent to the post office. If you're getting a parcel through a courier, you have to be in a certain place at a certain time to receive it, and even if you specify your own time - sh*t happens and you might not be available.

Edit: haha, posted at the same time as Asy1um8 :P

Our courier will phone you before arriving and will make sure that the item finds you. They do this by using dedicated drivers per area and will drive around with your parcel until they can set up a time for delivery. I can call in a collection at any time and not have to wait longer than 40 minutes for the driver to arrive, and I assume that delivery will be the same. Maybe give a courier a chance, I was surprised to see just how flexible they are when it comes to deliveries....
