Lots of people do the JHB thing and then once they are skilled move back home... its also nice to have a pipe dream to live where you really want to live.

She just agreed to move....yeeha!! we had a long skype call and I need to go house hunting. I dont like Joburg either, but this is were its @. I was already to cancel my 4MBPS line and battle with iBurst for her. Thanks for the advice everyone. You guys rock!!

I was in London while my GF at the time was still in school. I wanted to do the whole UK thing and it was great. I wanted to play the waters and we'll hook up when I got back. Her mother bought her a ticket to come visit me in London on a suprize visit and it didn't go to well when she ended up at the door and I had a steady live in GF in London too. Having her at my place for those 2 weeks was way strange
. She ended up going home after that 2 weeks and never heard from her again.
Pretty bummed it worked out like that but hey, in the end I found someone to settle with when I was ready.
If you can sit and honestly say to yourself that she is the one and you want to up and leave to stay with her I'm happy for you. Just make sure this is exactly what you want

We are from the same town, formerly Louis Trichardt, changed to Makhado (Although there was already a Makhado about 40 KM north west of LTT
), changed back to Louis Trichardt again!That is the dream, I was a freshman at UCT in 2000 and yes I miss hiking and getting hopelessly on Table Mountain and that block house thingy.
