Long- GFX card to TV cable?

Hi all
Does anyone know where i might be able to get a long (def more than 5m-prob 7at leist)cable so i can link my TV out on my GFX card to the TV?

I have looked but the longest i have been able to find is only 5m?
 
Try Hi-fi corporation. If you are not sure, draw the pins at the end of the connector on a piece of paper so you can show the guys what you need. I would also measure to make sure exactly how much you need.

Yes it is a round connector. I have looked around, makro sells the exact cable i need but it is only 5m. I Measured and i need at least 7 meters.
 
I've bought 3m and 5m cables from HiFi-Corp before, but haven't seen any longer ones. You could buy 1 of each and a female-female adapter to join them. It's not the greatest, but does work fine.
 
Hey Flarkit, looks like that might be my only option. Thanks will have a look into it.
 
You can also try a place like Audio Vision, they specialize in av systems.

Just a thought, the connector at the back of your vga card might be propriety connector that connects to a short cable with composite connectors at the other end, you should have gotten one in your box. I think it might be a S-VHS to composite adapter.

This would allow for composite cables to be used, and can go way beyond 7 mtrs.
 
How do you want to connect to your TV?
With a yellow RCA plug?

I've got a 5meter svideo(4pin male) to rca(male) cable from zakspeed.
It used to work with my 6600GT, because I had a similar contraption like in the picture. It had 3 composite ports and one s-video(4pin female).

But now I have a Chaintec 8800GT and I can't get my setup working.
My old TV only has a yellow video input for a RCA cable. I only got a "s-video to 3 component" cable supplied with my card.

I can't just use the s-video to RCA cable and the gigabyte contraption doesn't seem to work either.

Please help!!!
 
the cables are short for a reason. Longer than 5m results in signal degradation due to cable reflections. I had this problem myself when hosting events using projectors. I had a 8m cable made and the image edges looked awful, people complained.

To drive longer cables you would do well with using an amplifier.

So a 7pin connector from PC to RCA cable(that goes to the tv) doesn't work?
I also just realized my cable supplied with the GFX card is also a component cable(rgb) that comes from the gfx card.

Yea had a proper look. That is definately the one.But as far as my understanding goes,those only transmit video signal? Or does it include the audio?
So where to get a long RGB cable :D If that would work.



So who would sell 7m RGB Cables?(i think i need exactly 7m)
