On my iPhone I notice that many M2M texts have long MSISDNS e.g. Takealot SMS are 16 characters e.g. +2783930060696129. Anyone have an idea why this is and is it particular to iPhones?

It makes it far harder to block as the same originator seems to have many numbers. Are they legitimate MSISDNs or something my iPhone is appending to the actual MSISDN?How do you block those numbers if they keep changing (looking at you SARS)?
