I've been wondering what is the longest time a 3G (or GPRS) connection has been active for, without a disconnect?

I'm currently on 3G: 61 hours, 28 minutes and 23 seconds :)

I'm sure there are some interesting numbers out there!

Connected after the network came up last Wednesday, eventually I HAD to shut down to travel, at that time I was up 82 hours. Nearly left my laptop at home!

A lot of the guys that work in one location, Biometrics, Harley79 and Rabiddog et al, don't use the dash.

6 Days 18 hours something mins here...Was messing around with something and totally forgot about it... *blush*

I often leave my connection open for days and days. I'm actually usually quite surprised (and annoyed) to walk into my office and see the blue LED flashing - its supposed to be on constantly!

With that said, if I remember, I disconnect at night. Despite my firewall and AV software, I picked up something nasty the other day, and ran up 400MB of data over night! This was on the 10th of the month, and put me very near my cap indeed. Luckily I had to go abroad at more or less the same time, so it wasn't too bad in the end...

Me one location? I wish :-) If only! But normally on weekends it gets connected on Fridays and disconnected on Monday mornings. I am proberly one of Vodacoms "most times he connects" winners and not because of problems but because of mobility. :-)

Must give credit where credit is due (although not the right thread but anyway). Durban and more particularily CPT (where I am now) have much improved 3G coverage compared to earlier in the year. So well done Vodacom, you are living up to your promises re: coverage. (but where is our data rollover :-) )
