Been shopping around and there actually isn't much to choose from.
I found the Samsung ES6200LED 3D for around 6999 which fits the budget, it's last years model but seems ok.
I'd prefer plasma, but can't find any FHD 3D plasmas in the size I'm looking for.

Any suggestions welcome!

Why 3D?
I believe it's mostly just a gimmick and people who have 3D TVs don't use that feature all that much.

I have the LG Cinema3d 42", if I could go back I would rather get a larger screen with no 3d for the same price :)

3D gets old fast.

Ok thanks. 3D thing isn't crucial but I am looking at no bigger than 42" because anything larger simply won't fit.

So I'm open to non 3D suggestions but the kids won't approve ;-)

if its for the kids, 3D on animation is probably the only thing I really enjoy. The Cinema3d LG is good value and has been good to me so far, have a samsung as well, non 3D. Happy with both.

I have a LED Projector that uses DLP glasses, the depth is better than the LG passive, but to be honest I prefer the passive glasses, just simpler.

The amount I use the 3D function does not justify the huge cost on active glasses.

Found a 42" 3D FHD LG at Dion for R5750. I was looking for plasma but this seems like a good deal.

R300 for a pair for me isn't too much and love the active 3d on my Samsung compared to when I tried the LG 3d passive.
