Basically I would like a camera that has reasonable low light, macro, preferably 4k and a mic input.
So I have been hunting for a bridge camera at first thinking I may get away with a cheapie but unless I go no name brand, no chance.
Found a Nikon D500 on takealot for R3200, but 1080p only and no manual control and no mic input, Canon SX420, about the same.
Thought ok, guess I'll get an entry level dslr, no 4k, no mic, pretty much as useful as the above.
Eventually I found this Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ80 4K at R8k.
Fits all the bills right? No freaking mic input.
will be mainly using it for family and for filming/photographing insects.
Anyway, if you got this far, do you have a suggestion for me on what bridge or entry level device to buy?
I'm pretty sure they exclude the mic input from cheaper cameras to force pros to only go pro (end of tinfoil hat moment
