Does anyone know of any good digital trainers out there? I'm looking for a basic trainer nothing to fancy for now. I just need to do my pracs including prototyping/testing Flip-Flops, Latches, Multivibrators, Counters, shift registers and prototyping my own power supplies (including full-wave rectifiers and half-waves). I don't want something that's too costly neither do I want a development board that's too outdated. I want something that's very similar to Unisa's development board (with switches, LED's and fixed/variable voltage output).

I'm currently working on my practicals and a project, but the development board supplied by Unisa is too small. The breadboard is a major hinderance when it comes to development. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

I don't know if you get anything much better than a breadboard. I used them throughout my elec. eng. degree.

You could use Veroboard if you want to spend some time and do soldering too. It'll definitely make for better connections!

It's not the breadboard I'm looking for, it's the power supply/trainer. I want something that has more features, typically for prototyping. What did you use?
