Please recommend a locksmith who can copy keys in the Randburg, Northcliff area.

It's so irritating having to go back three or four times before the new key works.

I can understand places like Mica and Builders, it's a sideline for them but places like Andy's Locksmith :wtf: it's their source of income

There's a guy on the top floor of Randburg Square, just off Pretoria Avenue in Randburg. Used to get all sorts of keys made there, including for old ignitions for American cars and they got it right every time. Quick and cheap too. Good guys.

Go up this ramp all the way to the top and it's the first shop on the right.

Thanks so much Urban, that map is great :)

Will give them a try.

Yes, opposite-ish the Spar, just up from Thundergun, in the same centre as The PoolPlace.

Had a key cut there (Andy's), took it back 3 times and it still doesn't work.

Brightwater commons lock Smith across from the pick N pay

I phoned them, sending the driver there later today, tks UrBaN963.

The guy sounds Eastern European?

Super Afrikaans last I was there, but there are a few people in the shop.

3rd Time he should have refunded you. Would be interested to see your key and his key to compare. If not set properly on the machine, or in-correct key blank used and if spacing is just slightly out, then yes, you could be making several trips? Normally keys duplicated works 99.9 % first time, margin of error is almost zero %

Will post pics tonight of the one from Andy's Locksmith.

First time the key was too thick to fit into the lock, second time he filed it down so much I thought it would break in the lock. Third time it fits into the lock but doesn't turn.
