Hi all.

Over the past 18 months i have been through a few ISP's most of them were left because of poor network performance ( AKA lag death) I am on a strict budget, and have a 1 Mbps line.

I primarily game, (Diablo 3 etc) , kids who watch lots of utube, and the occasional torrent, normally round 15 - 20 GB a month

here is a brief summary of my experiences.

1. Axxess - slow ping
2. Open web - slow ping & too fiddly - try this account or that account for this or that backbone life is too short
3. Imagine - very good but too expensive - R445 for a 1Mbps uncapped
4. Web Africa (current) - slow ping just cant resolve it

So am now looking for a new ISP but have learnt my lesson, i want to try before i buy. does anybody know where i can get a test account for an ISP that i can try. I have tried MWEB but the signup page has not sent the reference code to my phone after 35 mins.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated

R.

I can't believe I'm saying this but at 20 gig a do 3 or something like that from telkom would help with the ping as faster lines seem to have improved pings.

Hi RegBes,

As per my reply on the other thread, please PM me your client code and I will have a look into your issue.

I would say give Mweb a shot, I haven't looked back since using them.
