Hi guys

Haven't posted this in the IT Jobs thread as I'm not an advertiser/recruiter, but the company I work for is looking for a senior web developer in our Jhb (Sandton) office, requirements below. If you feel you meet the requirements and more, please PM your contact details (and email) and I will get you in touch with our HR Dept. Salary is dependant on experience, I wasn't told what the pay range is here unfortunately.

Senior Web Developer
Responsible for design, development and maintenance of the intranet and related systems.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree/diploma essential, Microsoft Certification preferable.
  • 4-5 years in a similar role in a professional services environment.
  • Sound HTML/XML/Classic ASP/.NET/JQuery and IIS server skills, together with exposure to Microsoft Internet technologies.
  • Experience in database integration and content management systems.
  • Should be proficient with the following packages: Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office suite. Basic multimedia formatting skills.

Sorry, to add...a lot of our Classic ASP systems are being migrated to .NET. Process begun a couple months ago, so position will have quite a few new systems needing to be developed (as they are in Classic ASP) to .NET

If the salary is dependent on experience, why don't you just put what the salary would be if the applicant had 4-5 years experience as stated in the advert?

probably because "HR"

It would be so much easier if salaries were stated in the beginning. No back and forth until you eventually decide if it's worth pursuing or not.

Unless they're just farming for email addresses.

Agree with the Salary, but to me this guy hey, he was not told what the Salary is, he also is not the recruiter they where looking for people advertise everywhere and he probably said hey, HR you guys are cool I'll try mybb as well.

So point I am making. Lets not throw him under the same brush as the recruiters who post in that other thread.
