The post does sound pleasing... Where will it be based? Could you please provide explicit details of what you require to be done. i.e. Security, linux box setup?

Well that is kinda harsh and throws us all into big bucket, all the bad apples mixed with the good. I am sure there are a lotta great guys/girls here. Fair enough some might be "dangerous" but what is to say the person from word of mouth is not. Anywyas, i guess that is that. Was a nice idea though.

The first thing is decide what game/s you will run. Then find the community/s that play that and speak to them (ie if you wanted to run UT2004 you would go to www.unrealza.co.za and ask there). They already have server admins in place that know the game so that way you get someone who knows whats going on, rather than some 16 year old who thinks it's kewl and loses interest after 2 months.
 
Would anyone actually bother using these servers? The only SA servers (as few as they are anyway) that are ever occupied are the SGS ones, and even then there's not often as many people on them as everyone would like to see. If ODS too has gaming servers, then you're never going to have decent-sized games because some will be on the ODS servers, others will be on SGS.
