Just got official response from Telkom that my exchange is congested and the DSLAM upgrade is only in planning stages. They can't give me an ETA at all.

I work from home and require solid internet access. I currently have a 4mb uncapped account pulling roughly 100gb at MOST a month.

Not having had any experience with any WISP's , what are the pro's and con's?
Looking at spending +- R1k a month if needed.

I live in Uitzicht, Durbanville , Western Cape if that helps.

Many thanks.

Hi there,
If wireless is how you want to go then you could look at the ISP association website for coverage in your area.
Details are here.
You could also look at iBurst and see what they have available for you.

100gb - yoh. Good luck with that. You'll have to sacrifice something for that - most like a bit of latency and a solid chunk of stability.
