Hi everyone!

I've reading the threads and more I read more I am confused...

I am looking for an 512k uncapped service.

I require stable speed during day and night. Stable speed during daytime is essential as
it's the time I will be using the internet the most.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Dalgun, all uncapped packages available are essentially the same. They're just standard IS uncapped packages, that are just resold by various ISP. If you're looking for something stable, i'm assuming for work, the best would ultimately be a 512k uncapped via fiber.

I'm with OpenWeb, and am extremely happy with them. www.openweb.co.za

Hope this helps somewhat. Maybe also try giving the guys at OpenWeb a call (0861 22 44 66), they're extremely helpful.

Dalgun . if you do go with openweb .. summin i just saw ..

on their web they make big mention of their 384k uncapped for R999.00 a month...

However, if you just go into the uncapped link: http://www.openweb.co.za/uncapped/

they have a special on the 512k uncapped @ R999.00

so .. take the time to browse around before just taking the first best thing that gets mentioned :)

They are not all the same, there is quite a few ISP's offering their own Uncapped solutions now. If you require stable speed you best bet is to stay away from a IS uncapped solution.

xdsluser can you give me a few of those ISP names please? I would be keen to move away from IS Uncapped and move to a more stable solution. If you're not allowed to post those ISP names here, can you please PM their names to me ?

xdsluser : Can you do the same for me?
Is xdsl one of them? Thanks.

There's no reason not to post it guys ;) It is allowed as far as I know.

Thanks everyone..

Guess I will have to folk out a fourtune every month to have something stable..

You Missed the bus there mate. You get +-3 Kinds of uncapped offers in South Africa. FakeUncapped (With those stupid thresholds), TrueUncapped (Business Satellite & Fiber connections),Other.

This contains some valuable information about the uncapped options available out there.

Hey xdsluser, pleeease can you PM me some of those ISP's?
All this reading-without-finding-much-out thing is killing me :P

Hi xdsluser, I sent a PM to you with a few questions about your service. Please get back to me when possible.

see my tests and its results - half speed was promised after threshold, i got 10.41 KB/sec to 14.37 KB/sec. after i have properly abused it till i was thresholded...

FakeUncapped - thresholded !

there is this uncapped fiber plus product which doesn't mention thresholding yet...

...still awaiting ods's response to my questions

Fiber Express Plus 0_o

if you can afford go for Fibre one, satellite alos has some latency issues.

the uncapped fiber plus i was talking about is on ods's site

according to ods no limits or thresholds with low latency + good torrent speeds

384 for R1214.10 p/m - R302.10 more than 384 uncapped express

512 for R1618.80 p/m - R250.80 more than 512 uncapped express
...

a sticky with uncapped options in details would be nice - mods ?
