So this 250GB SATA drive that I have in an external case. Has a few little problems, which I am assuming are due to the fact it is a partition error.

I want to reformat the drive, not using Windows tools. As they are terrible slow. Any ideas?

slow???

theres an option for quick format, takes less than a minute, if not then theres some other issue

If you're into Linux, how about GParted? Or are you only looking for Windows programs? In that case, Partition Magic works a charm.

Why on earth didn't I think of Gparted:eek:. Thank you for reminding me that program exists.

@Lord Fubar

Correct there is a quick format but it is not fixing the problem. Hence need for a full proper format.

Right, so I can copy to the hard drive, and run stuff from it fine with no problems. However when I attempt to copy back, I get Cyclic Redundancy Errors, wtf
